When record changes is turned OFF it should be possible to move text around
using cut and paste without losing the change records inside the text being moved.

Thanks for posting Lorrin.

Duplicated on Solaris 8, OO 1.0, CDE latest Solaris and J2SE patches.

1. Create a new document.
2. Turn on "Edit | Changes | Record".
3. Enter in a few lines of text.
4. Turn off "Edit | Changes | Record".
5. Cut and paste a line of text to another location.

Notice that the change markings and history is lost.

Granted, this might be considered normal for the OO line.

Just for comparison, Word 2000 does not lose the change history and markings if you disable change tracking and then cut and paste text.

Windows 2000 is out to date.
Solaris is now a third-Party port and distribution.
The project does not officially endorse or maintain this package.
