one for requirements and IMHO not a really practicable thing to do Isn't Window Freeze and Window Split one in the same? Does Calc have any way of doing a 4 way View Split similar to Lotus 123 or Excel? Wondering if this "free" spreadsheet is really worth it. OpenOffice does have the same capability as Excel as far as split windows, vertically and horizontally. And that, at least is a very desirable feature. It would be more desirable to have essentially have a drag bar on the top and bottom of the scroll bar to split the window into three spaces, and the same thing on the horizontal scroll bar. Or even just have it on both bars but the double split option would go away on one bar when the other is used in that way. The simple fact is that often one bar is used to keep the header in view and then the option to, for instance, pull data or formulas from one section and use them in a second section is harder to do because instead of having two windows for that operation, one is already in use for the header (for instance). Other times, data or formulas or a combination of both is used from two windows and you would like to be using the result or watching the result in a third window. Anyway, I still believe having a horizontal or vertical split into 3 windows would be a great boon and definitely one up on Excel. |
