1) Create and save a test document with some information
2) Insert-> Object-> OLE Object...
3) Select "Create from File"
4) Point to the file you just created
5) Click "Link to file"
5) "OK":The inserted OLE object will behave just fine at this point.
6) Save the file. Close and Reopen
7) soffice.bin will fill up the RAM and crash at this point

Now I know this seems crazy to do but I was attempting to have a floating frame
within my document of sheet information found in another sheet. 

I should think that OO.org should not allow this kind of recursive link if it is
going to crash. I'll attach a sample file where this happens.

Changing target to 2.x

change target from 2.x to 3.x according to
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Target_3x
