Description takeda64 2006-03-24 22:36:30 UTC
I belive this issue is related to issue 62256 and might be also related to
60519.

Basically, when I open Writer, and insert e.g. Math formula (sometimes) when I
click to edit the formula, or click out, to get edditing the writer document the
OOo gets frozen. This freezes whole OOo, so if I open other applications from
the OOo (as separate windows) if the freeze happens, it freezes all of the Open
Office windows, and make them not responsive.

The freeze is identical to one in issue 62256 (this is just a different way to
trigger it).

I also tried the fix from 60519, while the windows doesn't leave trail when
dragged, this doesn't fix the freeze (anyway, windows still seem to behave oddly
when dragged (comparing to dragging regular windows in Windows, the Styles, and
Navigator windows seem to be "heavier" - perhaps this might be reason that OOo
writes/reads from disk a lot while window is dragged).

I am quite sure, that this has the same root cause as issue 62256. This freeze
(I am quite convinced) when you e.g. have a spreadsheet and insert a Writer OLE
object where the Navigator or Stylist is active. I think, that the freeze
happens when the floating windows are triggered.

I also think it's related, but in issue 62256 I was asked by user of to open new
issue, since the workaround didn't solved all problems.
