Try to move picture up with ALT+arrow key up. No success. But just using arrow key up - fine. none

Description zeroconf 2006-05-07 07:22:22 UTC
When I insert picture into Writer (Insert->Picture->From file) and want it to
move using arrow keys on keyboard, then it moves only down. When I try to move
picture with small steps, using ALT-key - also moves only down. Default anchor
of picture is to paragraph. But when I change the anchor of picture to page -
then is possible to move picture using arrow keys to any direction.
Expected behaviour: I should able to move picture with arrow keys to any
direction. And there should not be matter, what anchor I have.

MRU->ES: I cannot reproduce this on Windows and Linux; could this be a result of
a broken configuration?
Comment 2 zeroconf 2006-05-08 13:09:37 UTC
I don't think so, that some kind of user-side configuration is broken. Just add
picture and after adding try to move it using keyboard arrow keys. Due to
anchored to paragraph, it moves only down. But when changed anchor to page - it
moves where I want, not only down.
I tested it on Debian-based Linux.

I cannot reproduce it either.
Does this happen in a specific document (please then attach it!) or can you
reproduce it from any new doc with any picture?
In last case I can't figure out what happens.

So, I have to say, that only using ALT-key to move picture with small steps does
not work if there is also some text in document. But in my document, what I
create for pupils, there I could not move picture also with just arrow keys
until I changed anchor to page.

ES->OD: as described. In the attached document, Alt+Up on the picture will move
it dowsn

This bug was reproduced on OO v.2.0.4 for Linux as follows:
1- Create a new file.
2- Type in any word and press enter.
3- Select the word. Go to Format->Paragraph, change Line Spacing to "Double" or
"1.5 lines".
4- Set the cursor at the new-line after the word and insert an image.
5- Click on the image and press ALT+UP_ARROW.
6- Change the pragraph spacing back to "Single".
7- Repeat step 5.

connected to issue 70582?
Comment 9 jwf 2007-12-06 08:56:52 UTC
I can reproduce the bug also on WinXP. It seems that it occurs, when the
previous paragraph has as setting for space downward more than zero. If it is
zero it works perfect, that means the graphic can be moved with the arrow-keys
and with or without arlt in any direction. As an example you can check my small
odt-file "test_graphik" on The "abnormal
behaviour" of the graphic occurs only in the second and fourth paragraph.
