1.Open Spread sheet (Calc or Excel)
2.Select data you want import to Base, and copy.
3.Create Base document.
4.Select “Table†at left of window.
5.Right click at Tables pane, and paste.
6.The “Copy table†dialog is pop-up. Select “Definition and dataâ€, and select
“Create primary keyâ€
7.Click “Next buttonâ€, and move all column from “Existing columns† to the right.
8.Click “Createâ€. You will have “Table1†in Base.
9.Double click “Table1â€
10.Thai text in column is incorrect

I found a workaround. In step 5, instead of paste, use  “paste special†and
select  “formatted text [RTF]†.
Thai text in column will be correct.
