Description mguenter99 2006-06-04 19:50:14 UTC
I apologize if this feature exists and I didn't find it.

I think it would be very good to have a helper position that allows to enter
Unicode characters by the number.

E.g. with a short cut or menu point you can enter in a dialog box the hex code
of the Unicode character. Or directly

e.g.

ALT+U and then 04AD

VIM does this with CTRL-V u 04AD

At least on Windows systems, you can use the system wide standard for this, i.e.
hold down the ALT key and type in the decimal Unicode number with a leading 0
(zero).
