Issue 67893

Summary: vertical-stacked text in a cell doesn't wrap
Product: Calc Reporter: dieeasy <dieeasy>
Component: formattingAssignee: AOO issues mailing list <issues>
Status: CONFIRMED --- QA Contact:
Severity: Trivial
Priority: P3 CC: elish, issues
Version: OOo 2.0.3
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: All
OS: All
Issue Type: ENHANCEMENT Latest Confirmation in: 4.1.0-dev
Developer Difficulty: ---

Description dieeasy 2006-07-28 16:52:27 UTC
Setting:
  - open a new calc document
  - format a cell (say B2) to be 5,0cm high and 1,5cm wide
  - enter some long text (too much to fit vertically aligned)
  - enter clel formattin dialog and go to alignment tab
  - format the cell to vertically stacked and enable text wrap
(can be something different, in Italian it is "sovrapposizione verticale")

-> text doesn't wrap (as, for example, it does in MS Word)
    - save the file in Word 97/2000/XP .doc format and open it in Word to see

If I'm not doing something bad or if there's not another way to do this, IMO
this is an incompatibility with MS Word preventing some people's OOo adoption
(which I would like) and a feature that could help in some situations

thank you all for your work!

I faced the same problem in OO writer tables

I ahve just found a solution for my problem. By defining the height of the raw,
the text is automatically wrapped!

reassigning features and enhancements to user requirements@openoffice.org which
