To reproduce the defect:

Open a cal doc and assign it name "A"
open a searc & replace window (and leave the window open)

Open another calc doc and assign it a name "B"
Still in doc B:
menu > Insert > Function (any function it's OK)

And the focus jump on doc A... :-(

not a p2 task
Comment 2 efa 2006-10-16 00:50:31 UTC
confirm with 2.0.3 on Win2K sp4.
using formula wizard, after pressing OK, the doc A come in front of doc B,
and the focus jump to Search&Replace dialogbox.
In that situation, curiosly the task bar show Doc B as selected (pressed).
Pressing on taskbar doc B, I see doc B windows behind doc A reduce to icon.
All doesn't happen direct typing =FORMULA(;) in a cell.

Confirming with m188 on WinXP.

P.S. You have to complete function wizard for focus to jump.

Confirmed in 2.1RC2 on Windows. In Linux Fedora Core 5/6 (GNOME) the behaviour
is a little different: when the function is inserted in the file B the file A
displayed in the bottom bar begins to flash but the focus still remains on the
active one.
