Steps to reproduce :
- Insert / Field / Others / Variables
- Select “User Field†then “Others formatsâ€
- Delete the description of the format and confirm...

Reproduced with Linux Debian Testing

NB : Delete the description wasn't the intention (bad keystrokes...)

I can confirm this behaviour on FreeBSD 6.1 with OOo 2.0.4rc2
setting oooqa and crash keywords, platform all, priority P2
