Reassigned. I can't reproduce the bug. I compared OOo 1.1.5, OOo 2.0.4 and the Developer build src680m187. Please write me a step by step description what I have to do and what is different to OOo 1.x.x I no longer have a 1.x.x version so I can't do the comparison you ask for. However, following is what I am doing in Impress which produces the problem. Open a new Impress file. It can just be an empty eresentation. I work from my own template with styles defined, but the problem shows for empty presentations as well. 1) Insert a slide, select the Tltle, Text slide layout from layout pallette. 2) Type some text, any text for a few bullets. 3) Highlight part of the text in one of the bullets and change the font to something else (Courier New for example) by selecting it from the drop-down font list in the menu bar. 4) Select another section of font in a different bullet and change the font to a third font type. < At this point you will probably see the font history with two fonts showing in it > 5) Insert another slide 6) Add text to several bullets 7) Highlight a section of the font in one of the bullets and open the font list. < This is where I ususally see the history missing > 8) If the font history is still there, select a third new font to change the highlighted text. 9) Repeat steps 5 - 7 until the problem occurs. For me is has always happened the first time I make it to step 7). Sometimes even at 4). Yep, font history seems to reset every time font selector combobox is recreated. Repro steps: 1. Create new, empty, presentation. 2. For first slide apply "Title, Text" layout. 3. In text box type something and apply some font (Courier New will do). Open font selector to make sure that history is there. 4. Click outside of text box, close to the edge of the slide and click back in text box. 5. Open font selector and make sure that history is gone. History seems to be reset by many different operations, but not consistently - it may happen or may not. The bug occures in all applications therefore changing the component to Framework I can reproduce the bug. To reproduce it in the writer you have to insert an OLE to leave the 'edit mode' I don't know if this is your area. Please have a look. What is the chance of increasing the priority on this? It's really an inconvenience. I have promoted using OO Impress for our course development. We teach many public courses now using OO Impress based material. And our course content use different fonts for highlighting code, functions, files and desription. I have put up with the inconvenience because I find other features of Impress to be better than PowerPoint. Howerever, the environment is not optimal. |
