Description rafaella.braconi 2006-12-27 15:37:17 UTC
attached the list of changes which have been carried out by Sun/G11n in the OOo
Brazilian version - for 2.1 only in the GUI - with the aim of unifying the
Terminology and Style used by Sun and the Community. Please look of what has
been changed so far and let us know what still needs to be done in order to
eliminate the differences.

Some additional information on how Sun/G11n has created the initial Terminology
and Style lists. With the testtool we have created screenshots out of the OOo
Brazilian version and the BrOffice. The total number of screenshots was ~750 for
each version. We have compared them and saw that those that differ were 171 -
but often the difference was caused by difference in the product name
BrOffice/OpenOffice.org or by a date/time value that was displayed in the
dialog. All those 171 dialogs have been manually reviewed and the differences
have been put on a spreadsheet. The BR Community reviewed the lists, added
feedback. Sun/G11n agreed to carry out the changes in terminology and style
apadting the terminology and style to the Community ones. However, there is
still a long list of common *mistakes* that need to be fixed...
