Hello I am running OpenOffice 2.1 in a two monitor config. When an app is displayed in the primary monitor, the 'Save as type:' dropdown (along with a couple of checkboxes) displays correctly. When the Apps is moved to the second monitor, the 'Save as type:' drop down is missing along with the checkboxes. This happens on Writer, Impress and Draw (and I am assuming other apps too).

Confirmed on the above configuration. Reproduction steps(must have 2 monitor configuration): a) In windows: 1.right-click on desktop | Properties => Settings tab. If 2-monitor configuration is enabled you will see a picture of 2 monitors numbered 1 and 2 2.Use left mouse button to drag monitor 2 on top of monitor 1 b) In OpenOffice: 1.Create a new document 2.drag the program window up completely into screen of monitor 2 3.File|Save As... 4.=> “Save as type†dropdown list is missing along with checkboxes: “Automatic file name extensionâ€, “Save with password†and “Edit filter settingsâ€

Some details The defect observed in in both when program window is maximized or restored down If the program window is split between screens then behavior depends on which screen the greater area of the window is located(same rule as for to which screen the window will be maximized). Position of “Save as†dialog is unimportant. The issue is only present in 2-monitor configuration where monitor 2 is on top of monitor 1. In other arrangements the behavior is as expected. When the defect is observed: The format to save the document to is same as type of original document. States of checkboxes are preserved from previous successful “save as†dialog. Hotkeys for checkboxes do not work.

Other user complains about the same problem with Draw (in Russian) http://community.i- rs.ru/index.php/topic,3237.msg18513/topicseen.html#msg18513 : "In order to reproduce you have to position Draw on secondary monitor" As I do not have dual monitor setup I can't check myself, but setting it as confirmed.

I just encountered this issue today. Some different observations that have not been described can be observed. This issue does not seem to occur when the main frame of the document is in the primary monitor. If a document that shows the "Save as type" drop-down menus correctly is moved to the secondary monitor, it may not show the "Save as type" drop-down and check boxes. If the second monitor is positioned above the primary monitor, the drop-down is missing. If the bottom edge of the secondary monitor is aligned at the left in the dual monitor configuration, the drop-down appears. If the secondary monitor is aligned so that only the lower right third of secondary monitor is aligned with the upper left third of the primary monitor display, the drop-down disappears if the primary document window is on the secondary display. If the document window frame is moved back to the primary display, the expected drop-down menu and check boxes reappear, even when the "Save as type" dialog frame appears on the secondary display. Tagging this issue as "dualmonitor" for easier discovery.
