Issue 73797

Summary: Document restored by crash-reporter may show a dialog too early
Product: General Reporter: bjoern.milcke
Component: uiAssignee: AOO issues mailing list <issues>
Status: CONFIRMED --- QA Contact:
Severity: Trivial
Priority: P3 CC: issues
Version: OOo 2.1
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: All
OS: All
Issue Type: DEFECT Latest Confirmation in: ---
Developer Difficulty: ---

Description bjoern.milcke 2007-01-23 16:10:05 UTC
1. Open a spreadsheet document that has links to external data (e.g. a linked sheet)
2. Wait until OOo crashes ;-) Hm, don't know if there is a programatic trigger
for the crash-reporter.
3. Re-start OOo, the crash-reporter appears
=> The crash-reporter restores the document, and no longer reacts, because in
the document has opened a dialog asking to refresh the links behind (!) it. You
have to react on the document's dialog first, which is only possible by moving
the crash-reporter aside, because it stays always on top.

->MBA: As discussed, there might be other relevant places. Solution idea:
trigger such actions in the "onLoad" event. This also avoids those dialogs when
documents are loaded hidden.

changing target to 2.3
Comment 2 Mathias_Bauer 2007-07-16 13:42:47 UTC
didn't finish for 2.3
Comment 3 Mathias_Bauer 2007-11-01 16:39:06 UTC
I assume this will be fixed with the crash reporter redesign for 3.0.
