pl->hde: cannot reproduce on Windows or Gnome (checked oof680m5 and src680 m202). More details please. HDE->PL: This was found on solaris x86 with gnome desktop pl->as: contrary to earlier comments this can be easily reproduced on a KDE; test was on vnc viewer connecting to vnc server on alaaf-z1. as far as i can see it works like this: - user tries to open password protected file (e.g. using recent file menu) - frame for new document gets shown - password dialog opens -> pasword dialog has the old document as parent (which is decided in uui/source/iahndl.cxx) The fact that the password dialog opening has the focus and is transient for the old document (in vcl language the dialog has the old document as parent) cause the window manager to bring the old document to front. Actually i think it would be more logical anyway if the password dialog had the new frame as parent since it belongs to the new document. Please have a look. . Added another issue which seems to be similar. http://framework.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=83984 (Opening a password protected document from the OS blocks opening more documents until password dialog is confirmed) Sorry ... but both tasks are not related. Issue 83984 is reasoned by the fact that our command line cant handle multiple request at the same time. So it's not related to the password dialog only. Issue 73968 is reasoned by the fact that the password dialog gets the wrong parent frame/window. Thats completely different. I see this with 3.0 Beta on 64-bit Fedora 9. I am not using a 64-bit build, just the standard 32-bit. Adding myself to the CC list. SBA->TM: I believe AS not involved in this any more. Please have a look and reassign approprieately. Put myself on c/c. *** Issue 99885 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** Adjusting target accirding to issue 99885. Wrong. The other one was NOT a dupe. Thus target of this one back to 3.x SBA->HDE: Please comment on the state and urgency of this one from your current findings concerning Automation hinderances of this. Thx. Currently the behaviour seems to be correct for me (Oo.o 2.4.1 on Debian Squeeze) with one exception. If I try to open a password protected document from the open dialogue of the quickstarter the password dialogue appears on the current screen but the focus is not on it. Hence, if I start typing the password without remembering to click on the dialogue or its tab nothing happens. I just installed the new Ubuntu 9.04 with OpenOffice 3.0.1 (Build 9379) and this bug is still here. Just open an openoffice spreadsheet (no password), wait for it to load, open another one (password protected, no need to go into recent documents, just double-click on it), then the password dialog will not appear, it will be hidden in the first file you opened. Quite annoying! Yes, I am now on OpenOffice 3.0.1 and the problem seems to be back how it was. *** Issue 103223 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** |
