Thanks. I've had time to download the latest oo 2.2 development release and the excel sheet does not show there either. Shows rendering bug in print preview for OO - Excel sheet is not rendred at target location
Created attachment 42936 [details]
Word2000 renders excel at target location correctly
So that is print-preview you are talking about. Confirming with 2.1 and 2.2m5 on WinXP. >So that is print-preview you are talking about.
The problem exists in normal editing as well, but the snapshot was taken from
print-preview since I then had two pages visible at the same time.
Word 2003 SP2 also has trouble displaying Excel sheet on second page - I had to switch to reading layout and back for Word to display Excel sheet on second page. Word 2000 seems to process the reference differently than Word 2003; from the screenshot I can see that Word 2000 displays the whole content of the referenced Bookmark; Word 2003 just displays a hyperlink to the Bookmark. I have to try to find a Word 2000 here to have a look at it. On a machine with *only* OpenOffice installed, rendering is not done correctly either. We need to edit a Word document with embedded Excel from OpenOffice only to get rid of MSO. It seems to be a bug in Word 2003; when updating the reference field there manually, the object is also shown in the reference like Word 2000 does initially. MRU->OS: this is not a problem of the import. In Writer, it is not possible to reference to a Bookmark where objects (like in the attached doc) are anchored in. The reference will not show the object in there. Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org". Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org". |
