Notes from Hagar de l'Est:
"The problem comes from page 153 (under MS Word), the song 'Ces gens-lÃ '). It
seems that in the second part of the song, the last column is too long, the text
is not really well balanced between the 4 columns spreading on the 2 pages. If I
type a paragraph break in the last column in order to send some text in the
previous one, no problem opening it with OOo. "

I am enclosing a small portion of the larger document.  The small portion
freezes during import on OpenOffice.org 2.1 Windows XP.

Crashes (100% cpu) on File > Open for me as well (OOo 2.1.0 on Fedora Linux).

MRU->OD: As described - open the attached doc -> loop. The doc contains a
balanced two-column section beginning in the middle of page two and spreading
onto page 3.

Any chance of targeting for 2.2.1 (as it is regression)?
I also set P2 as it is crash.

Additional information - inserting file 
http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/43779/men1.doc into 
master document does not loop Office. Trying to open it directly hungs office.

due to lack of resources I have to re-target this issue to OOo 2.4

Loop does not occur anymore due to the implementation of some general loop
controls in the Writer layout engine, see issue 81146.
