Description andreas.martens 2007-03-01 14:23:37 UTC
Some text editors allows a rectangular selection of text, i.e. drawing a
rectangle with the mouse and get all characters inside selected. Another
possibility would be to select _columns_ of characters while moving the text cursor.
Example: Open the attached document and try to select the "second column" and to
copy it somewhere into the document.

Remark: a detailed specification is required.

Seems to be dup of http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=1596

I suggest using Alt-mouse for truly rectangular selection and Alt-Shift-Mouse
for column selection.
