ES->CJ: I think we could add that to the "Appearance" dialog for accessibility reasons. Reassigned to CJ Reassigned to Bettina. Thank you for reporting this issue. It is considered for 'Office later'. It Much is bad seen Dear Bettina, what is your view of this issue? Can you target it for 2.4 or 2.x? Thanks a lot for your reponse. WBR, K. Palagin. link to discussion on discuss@ux.openoffice.org: http://ux.openoffice.org/servlets/BrowseList?list=discuss&by=thread&from=1886649 Calc cell selection is changed with issue 86069 (no change to text selection for now, and no configuration). I think that inverse should be an option, but not enabled by default. I feel that this is a situation where not only are we leaving "Eye-Candy" in, but we are doing so without benefitting the user experience. I think we should have it OpenOffice Blue/translucent blue by default, and, as was said earlier, have a preference in which the user could select between "Solid Color (With variable transparency as an option)", "Inverse", and "Gradient". In particular, having a gradient from two shades of blue would be very charming. If you don't think that gradients look good as a selection, look at OS X's lightbox highlighting for "find" terms. When you "Find" something in a text document, it highlights it with a yellow gradient. I think that a similar gradient, in light blue, would be very welcome. In conclusion, I think that there should be options, and inverse should not be the default. To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements". |
