Hi, I'm working on a list and OO calc is a great help with it's auto completion. After typing the first letters auto-completion offers a solution. If I want to accept that, I have to hit <ENTER>. But I'm not able to leave the field with <TAB> before hitting <ENTER>. Would you please correct that? Alex.

Confirmed that you are unable to TAB off a cell when autocompletion has taken effect. Given ability to TAB in all other cases this would indeed appear, on the surface, to be a defect.

Hi Alex, you have just discovered one of our not widely known features. Just type in A1 ddd, in A2 ddb, in a3 ddc. Type d in cella4 and press the TAB Key. As you can see, you are cycling through the given alternatives. If you use SHIFT + TAB you are cycling backwards. So TAB can't work as you want. Hope this helps. Frank

Hi! I checked what you wrote and it's indeed usefull but sometimes annoying. So it would be nice to turn this of by option. Let's consider this case: You start a list with "motorsport" in cell A1 and start typing "motors" in cell A2. Now you can't leave the cell A2 with TAB, because autocompletion kicked in and suggests to write "motorsport", despite it's the only option with nothing else to cycle trough. Cursor keys won't help either, because the completed word "motorsport" will remain. So the only way to leave the cell with what I wanted to be there ("motors") is to kill autocompletion manually by pressing <DEL> and then going forward with <TAB> or <Cursor left/down/anywhere>. Typing a big list this way without watching the monitor closely is very hard and annoying if you didn't mention OO not going forward. Would be nice to turn off autocompletion-cycling by option. In this case it should abort the autocompletion on pressing TAB, leaving the manually typed part unchanged in the cell. The autocompletion is a great thing to use, but having it everywhere and every time can be seriously annoying when it's blocking my way forward... Alex.

Hi Alex, if you do not need or want this autoinput, just switch it off. Choose Tools - Cell content from the menu bar and uncheck the Autoinput Option. Hope this helps. Frank

Hi! That's what I wanted. But it might be an idea to turn just the auto-completion *cycling* off. Just an idea. ;) Alex.
