Description ivanii 2007-04-01 23:02:52 UTC
In MS Word, when you move cursor to the right when it is positioned after last
character in the rightest cell, you can hit enter and insert new row. The same
functionality for OOo would be desired.

That's partly true... Ms Word will also just create a new paragraph in the
mentioned table cell - not a new table row.
Appending a new row can only be done by pressing "Tab" key when cursor is
located in the lower right cell of a table.
The requested implementation won't make sense; how should anyone create a
paragraph break in a table cell, when "Enter" will add a new row?

You didn't read how to reproduce this, OK, here is even simpler form:

1. Isert table 2x1 cells
2. Move cursor to the right cell
3. Move cursor right once more
4. Hit enter

MS Word creates new row, while OOo doesn't understand this procedure.

I must say I wasn't aware of tab as a mean to add new row when posted this bug.
However, some people got used to this behavior in MS Word, and it is still worth
considering
