Description alexpb 2007-05-01 23:01:14 UTC
Merging cells with formula convert the formula to plain text (without variables).

Example:

setup:
Cell-> Content
A1->   empty
B1->   =A2+B2
C1->   empty
A2->   2
B2->   3

Instructions: Merge cell A1 + B1 + C1, and look at the resulting content of that
cell (it is 5 but the formula disappeared).

Hi Niklas,

Excel does copy the formula into the merged cell, we do copy the value and
remove the formula from b1 which can be seen if you de-merge the cells.
