Issue Type: ENHANCEMENT Latest Confirmation in: ---
Developer Difficulty: ---

Description oblomov 2002-09-24 10:29:45 UTC
The Apply Style and Font Name button bar entries could be enhanced in
this way:

* Apply Style
should show all styles
* Both should "split" the menu into a "Used" and "All" parts; where
 the
"Used" part would be like the curretn Apply Style, and the "All"
 would display all possible
choices. A single line would suffice to
separate the two. Poor ASCII art representation:

 +----------
+-+
 |Heading 1 |v|
 +----------+-+
Default
Text body
Heading
Heading 1
 +------------+

............
............
............
 ...

 (all the styles)
* The actual
selection box should be a "QuickSelect" entry; thus it
should be editable, and starting typing
it would "autocomplete" to
 the closest match.

(Actually this final suggestion should be
implemented in all
listboxes ...)

Still valid for 2.4.1

Editable listboxes with completion has been implemented, but the proposal to
implement Used vs All Styles in Apply Style (and same for Font Name) buttons
are still valid.

Especially the seperation "used fonts" vs. "all fonts" in the font selection
pull down menu sounds very useful to me. I have been missing this for a while.
MS Word does this much better (already in Word 97). This is not implemented in
OO3.1.0 yet. Voted for it.

I am missing a choice to use recently used fonts in the font selection drop-down
menu. It should contain either all the fonts used in the document or the
recently used fonts, or both.
This is valid for 3.1.1 (9420)

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
