Description meywer 2007-06-21 18:16:34 UTC
Would be nice to have a „footer“ also for right/left/ maybe not inner, but outer
border of a page.

(Would be nice too, if one could write there rotated 90°.)

This could be achieved when activating Asian Layout in Tools.Options.Language.
Then there should be an additional option in Format.Page. Does this meet your
requirements?

It‘s really an interisting trick (but who can find this out), but it‘s not yet
the real goal.
I‘d like the page-number at the outer boarder of a page.
I can take a landscape-format and switch-on the footer, but the text in the
footer doesn‘t turn. So the page-number is readable in another direction than
the text.

Please implement header/footer for inner/outer page border.

This can easily be archived using frames. When anchored to a header/footer
paragraph, a frame is repeated on all pages (that use the same page style).
Within the frame, you can rotate your text by 90° or 270° using character
styles. This applies also to fields (e.g. page number).

So I'm not sure if we really need headers/footers for inner/outer page borders.

However, something like this is sometimes needed when you insert a single
landscape page, and want it to have the same header/footer as the other
(portrait) pages have.
