Easier editing of gradients. Duplicate.

Sorry- on closer reading this is not a duplicate. Issue 77347 refers to
extending the number of gradient types more than the editing mechanism. However,
there is probably an existing Issue that refers to the editing of Palettes in
general, that would cover this request.

Re-opening issue.
