Just a side note: are you aware that we have a keyword 'Arabic' for exactly this purpose? set target to 3.1 It is a mistake to use the keyword "arabic" for all bidirectional issues. There are other languages besides Arabic for which bidi issues are relevant, such as Farsi, Urdu, Hebrew, and Thai. Some issues are relevant to all these languages. Other issues are exclusively issues for Arabic, such as Kashida-related issues. It is important to distinguish between these two types of issues. The keyword "arabic", should be used only for issues of the second type. The keyboard "bidi" should be used for issues relating to all RTL languages. I would request that: a) we change the name of this issue to "OOo Bidi". b) we use the keywords "Arabic" and "Bidi" to the referenced issues only where appropriate, following the distinction in my previous post. chg summary as suggested. Who is in charge of adding new issues? Bidi work for oo.org isn't over. Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org". |
