collect issues for arabic version
Comment 1 ooo 2007-07-10 13:50:25 UTC
Just a side note: are you aware that we have a keyword 'Arabic' for exactly this
purpose?
Comment 2 Martin Hollmichel 2008-06-13 08:44:42 UTC
set target to 3.1
Comment 3 alan 2008-10-29 16:25:26 UTC
It is a mistake to use the keyword "arabic" for all bidirectional issues. There
are other languages besides Arabic for which bidi issues are relevant, such as
Farsi, Urdu, Hebrew, and Thai. Some issues are relevant to all these languages.
Other issues are exclusively issues for Arabic, such as Kashida-related issues.
It is important to distinguish between these two types of issues. The keyword
"arabic", should be used only for issues of the second type. The keyboard "bidi"
should be used for issues relating to all RTL languages.
Comment 4 alan 2008-10-29 16:36:07 UTC
I would request that:
a) we change the name of this issue to "OOo Bidi".
b) we use the keywords "Arabic" and "Bidi" to the referenced issues only where
appropriate, following the distinction in my previous post.
