to see the 'up' and 'down' issue, it is probably necessary for the formula to be in the middle of a line of text eg aaa %theta bbb MRU->FL: I think, that this depends on the user, what he might be in his target... the one wants to continue writing his text, the other wants to edit the object's properties. But I guess, in this special case (selecting text and converting to formula) the majority will expect text editing. I think that if the default propertes are what they should be, then most users will not want to edit the object properties, they will just want to continue typing. People who are using math objects will often have a dozen or more of them on the page; they won't want to be customising every one of them. |
