The archive has 100 MByte. it contains many pictures.

In the Microsoft PowerPoint, it need only 4 second to appear the presentation.

Exists some way to send the archive?

Please compress the file using 7zip (7zip format) or a similar program/format.
You can download 7zip at http://www.7zip.org (it's free software). Then attach
it here.

If the file is still too big, you can upload it to a file sharing service like
RapidShare ( http://rapidshare.com/ ) or share it using a P2P network.

Before uploading the file, make sure it doesn't contain any personal information :-)

I can reproduce the poor convert performance.

I haven't measured exactly the time but on a Sempron 3500+ (Keene), 1 GB of RAM,
running Windows Vista, OOG680_m2 needs ~100 seconds for loading. On the same
machine, running Linux Mint 3.0 (based on Ubuntu 7.04, kernel 2.6.20) and OOo
2.2 it takes approximately the same time.

On a Duron 700, 1 GB of RAM, running Windows XP SP1, OOo 2.2 crashes at loading
with a Visual C++ runtime error.

On a K6-2 400, 320 MB of RAM, running Windows XP SP1, OOo 2.2 while loading
starts to allocate more virtual memory (default page file: 320 MB) and later it
it crashes.

Neither of the machines has any problem opening the file with Powerpoint 2000
and even the K6-2 loads the file in a few seconds.

cgu, can you try to reproduce it?

Tested again with OOo 3.2 RC1, no improvements.
