Description bjoern.milcke 2007-08-29 12:48:19 UTC
1. Insert an image in Draw/Impress
2. Select the image
3. Choose the aging filter from the Picture toolbar
=> You get a b&w picture. The aging degree seems to have no effect on the
preview when changed. It also is not stored, it stays always on 10%

Are you sure? I use OOGm2 on WinXP Home. I have tested png, jpg and gif and it
works as it has ever done since SO7.
Are your picture linked? Then the filter cannot be saved.
What sort of picture do you use?

Ok, I checked again on a Linux version and a Windows version. I don't understand
why old pictures become red, but that's not the point. Obviously the problem is
only on Solaris with an image on a presentation slide. I'll investigate to nail
down the problem.

Is it correct that the "aging" is additive, i.e. when I select 30% press Ok and
reopen, I get "10%" again, and when I press Ok, the image ages even more? So
this is different from the gamma and color settings.

Ok, seems to be Solaris only. As it is an SRC680.m226, I changed this also. I'll
attach an example for illustration.

Yes aging is additive, same as smoothing and sharpening.

Filters are total different from the settings in the "color" sub-toolbar. The
latter settings are stored as settings in the content.xml. But filters are
applied directly to the pixels. That's the reason, why they are not persistent
for linked pictures.

"I don't understand why old pictures become red, but that's not the point." That
is not the only thing, which was transfered wrongly from SO5.2
