Proposed patch to open the Templates and Documents dialog from the Finder none

Description jogi 2007-09-19 23:12:09 UTC
As in the iWork and other Mac OS X apps the Office should start with a double
click on OOo.app in Finder with slot:5500 as parameter which will open the
Templates dialog.

Sorry that it took so long.

Good night ;-)

ericb->pjanik

The new argument seems to work, but testing with Cocoa version, two dialog boxes open ?

Do you see the same behaviour ? Maybe I'm wrong somewhere ...

I have tested the patch in Aqua. By default it gives the "Templates" tab of the "Templates and Documents"
window. Would it be better to give the "New Document" tab of the window? Is this possible?

Hitting cancel will just quit ooo. Is this what we want? Though iWork does do the same on hitting cancel.

Just to clarify it was SRC680_m230 that I built and tested.

Comment 9 pavel 2007-10-13 14:10:55 UTC
Can anyone test this change in m233?
Comment 10 msicotte 2007-10-13 16:25:36 UTC
OOo starts and the dialog open, but there is some undisirable behaviors. If you
double click on a new Text document a new instance of OOo (apparently) opens.
When you quit the new document (Command-Q) you go back to the dialog instead of
quitting. In the dialog the quit menu does not work even though enabled, but
the cancel button does seem to quit, although one time it crashed while quitting.
