Confirming with 2.4m2 on WInXP - as described. This issue is still open with OO.org 3.0 This issue appears to be closed as of OpenOffice 3.1, at least on Linux. When trying to reproduce the issue in OO 3.1 Linux, the superscripts and subscripts work in the data cell, even after Ctrl and Shift are released. (I suppose additional confirmation from another user(s) might be good though.) (The character changes only in the data cell, not the entry bar, but then the data cell is what really matters after all, I don't even know if the entry bar can do something like that, and I can't remember off hand whether Excel changed the entry bar character or not, so I'd say "good enough". That last part would count as a minor cosmetic enhancement at best; the end result appears to work now.) |
