Description majortombelgium 2007-10-09 11:34:38 UTC
When making a drawing and adding a text frame with only text, you can not change
the size or font of the text easily. First you have to dubbelclick on the text
frame, and then you can select what size, font, etc. it should use by right
clicking anywhere in the text. Why do you need to dubbelclick first, just add
another submenu(e.g. font properties) where you can change the font of all the
text in the textframe at once.

I think it is a natural reaction to press enter when you typed something to sort
of "confirm" what you typed in the textframe. And it's only then I start
worrying about the layout, but I pressed enter already, so I need to get back
into edit mode to make the layout like I want it.

Thanks and keep up the good work!
best regards,
Tom,

When I open the context menu of a text box I get the entry 'Character...' in the
context menu.
I think this is what you mean.

Please reopen the issue if this is not what you mean.

yes, indeed you can use the character entry, but this is a separate dialog, not
a submenu like when you enter edit mode in the textframe and rightclick on the
text.

It would be more consistent I think to also have a submenu there(with
font, style, size, alignment), instead of only the 'character' entry.

It's an enhancement.
