Description aziem 2007-10-18 03:56:43 UTC
The underscore character is is not visible in OpenOffice.org open/save file dialog on my Fedora 7 system running OpenOffice.org 2.3.0. The underscore looks just like the space character.

Confirm with OO 2.3.1 Pro on Ubuntu 7.10 64-bit. In Gnome open/save file dialog it's all OK. P.S. Sorry for my English

Confirming as per adept.

This also happens for characters that drop to low, for example g and q are indistinguishable.

Underscores in filename fields in open/save-as dialog boxes are still invisible as of OO3.2.1, on my 64-bit CentOS 5.3 system. g and q are nearly indistinguishable as well (you have to get up really close to the screen to see a one-pixel difference, given the way the bottoms of the characters are cut off). Quite possibly, the fix for both display problems will be as simple as increasing the height of the input text box (to something closeer to the height of the Save button nearby) so the entire character height can be properly displayed.
