Reassigned to SBA. sinel1980, please attach sample document. Created attachment 51006 [details]
Very simple example
Ok, I've added simple example. Now place your cursor inside 2nd footnote and try to search word "First" which is, as you see, in the 1st footnote. When search reach end of document, it ask if you want to search from begining, you choose "Yes", but it won't find word "First". Confirming with 2.4m242 on WinXP - as described. Reproduced with OOH680_m5 on Windows Vista. I did some follow up testing with the Backwards option. I found that it will jump to the end of the document and clicking Find after doesn't display any message or go to the next match. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the attached document. 2. Put the cursor at the end of the 2nd footnote. 3. Press Ctrl + F. 4. Click on More Options and check Backwards. 5. In the textbox for "Search For" put "footnote". --> Find will jump to the end of the document and clicking on Find again will not do anything. SBA: Reproducible in DEV300m5. SBA->AMA: Sounds similar to other "footnote findings", i.e. issue 69926. |
