Description jordimas 2007-11-21 19:08:44 UTC
Hello,

There is a problem in the formula translation in the Catalan version.

Catalan Calc uses the same translation for ADDRESS and MATCH formulas that makes
them impossible to use.

In the original translation that we send 'ADDRESS' was translated to 'ADREÇA'
and 'MATCH' to 'COINCIDEIX'.

See original PO:

#: compiler.src#RID_SC_FUNCTION_NAMES.SC_OPCODE_ADDRESS.string.text
msgid "ADDRESS"
msgstr "ADREÇA"

#: compiler.src#RID_SC_FUNCTION_NAMES.SC_OPCODE_MATCH.string.text
msgid "MATCH"
msgstr "COINCIDEIX"

We are afraid that some of the tools involved in the conversion of translations
do not support 'Ç' as character or as part of the formula names.

This can be reproduced with any OpenOffice.org 2.x build.

The quickest way of fixing this is replacing "COINCIDEIX" by "ADREÇA" in as
translation for 'ADDRESS'

Thanks,

Jordi,

retargetting

Hmm, interesting.

#i73559# contained the correct GSI file, but the difference in the cws was about:

- CONCIDEIX
+ CONICIDEX

in the localize.sdf file.

I have now verified, that if I merge the correct line with the string ADREÇA, that strings ends up in the
localize.sdf file.

So: what happened?

Ivo: can you please check what is in the database?

It should be enough to submit the new GSI file next tim,e but please check the merged string.

Comment 5 jordimas 2007-12-24 12:46:02 UTC
Hello,

The information in Pootle was correct. The problem is that the formula name got
lost/broken during the creation of the SDF file that we sent for 2.3.

Then in 2.4 the problem is going to be fixed since you create the files from Pootle.

What I think is important is that we make this fix in the 2.3 branch.

Thanks. Jordi,

fixed in CWS localisation27
Comment 7 petr.dudacek 2008-01-09 10:31:10 UTC
Hi Jordi,
can you please check whether this issue is fixed in the localisation27 cws build?

If it is, set it as verified, otherwise reopen it.

Thanks,
Petr

I can confirm that this error still exists in the latest build OpenOffice 2.4 build:

This is an important issue with direct impact on the user (since two formulas
have the same name).

I strongly believe that this should be fixed in the 2.4x series

Hi Jordi, can you check this issue in OOo 3.1. If it is fixed, please close the
issue. If it is still open, please work with ihi how you can get it fixed for
the next release. I change the target to 3.x until than to get all issues from
the 3.1 target, because OOo 3.1 is released since some days.
