In Draw, the sidebar on the left keeps reappearing every time I launch Draw. I
have to close it every time. It should remember this setting and not display it
unless explicitly told to.

IMHO this issue is not a defect but an enhancement.

It is stay more comfortable if it will be not opened every time then I select object (may be small button to fix it).

Remembering the settings should be default behavior for all the components.
It should also remember the customization (panels to hide or not).
