Description pagalmes.lists 2007-12-10 15:47:12 UTC
Have a look at the screenshots. When importing the file in OOo, some part of the
formatting is lost.

Hi Daniel,

I don't think it's a bug because the conditional format sets only the border on
top of the cell and the border to the left and right are set by the cell
formatting itself. The use of conditional formatting implies IMO that it
overrules the settings for cellformats, otherwise it seems to be not really useful.

What do you think ? Can we change something here or better should we do so ? If
do, please set the target and confirm the Issue.

Frank

This is a limitation of Calc. Excel allows to change single border lines in
conditional formattings, as done in the attached example: The upper border of a
cell is set to "thin/black", the other borders remain untouched. Calc only
allows to change all border lines of a cell or no line, therefore the
conditional formatting in Calc sets the upper line and clears the other three lines.

Well, shouldn't the Calc behaviour be change some day in the future (even is the
future is very far away)? For users, this is a bug, as the behaviour is not what
they expect.

I think that the issue should not be closed. Or at least, a new RFE should be
written to change this (maybe send to requirements?).

dr -> could you do what you think is best? Thanks.
