This depends on the underlying database management system. some dbms doesn't allow such thing. So you should specify what you want. I don't believe that this is asking if a field can be created in a particular order - rather if the data view window could be setup to allow the user to rearrange the columns in the display and then keep that information. For example you can already set a sort order or a filter at the data view and that is retained, for all databases supported. But the ability to arrange the column order is not. Atjensen is correct in what I what I was looking for. It isn't something ought to be too hard to achieve.
