Description phoenixpaw 2008-02-19 12:04:20 UTC
This might be a non-issue with 2.3, but I have not been able to find anything
about it.
It would be nice if the user could manually order the datafields in table-view
after the creation of the database.

This depends on the underlying database management system.
some dbms doesn't allow such thing.

So you should specify what you want.
Comment 2 drewjensen.inbox 2008-02-20 10:47:51 UTC
I don't believe that this is asking if a field can be created in a particular
order - rather if the data view window could be setup to allow the user to
rearrange the columns in the display and then keep that information.

For example you can already set a sort order or a filter at the data view and
that is retained, for all databases supported. But the ability to arrange the
column order is not.

Atjensen is correct in what I what I was looking for.
It isn't something ought to be too hard to achieve.

Many apologies to the community for my lack of clarity in initial post.
