main_transform does not handle the index entries "unpredictable" and "certain conditions" don't help very much, will not look into this before we see it under the standard files and reproducible. Let me know when it occurs next time . closed Now reproducable with the file /text/shared/01/formatting_mark.xhp on m29 Win XP, m29 Solaris, m25 Ubuntu the page is shown as a blank page in Help Viewer Extended Help texts are visible, but full text page is not: open Writer doc open Insert menu press Shift F1 point to Formatting Marks menu: extended help exists press F1 on one of the menu commands--> empty help page /text/shared/01/formatting_mark.xhp does not show any obvious errors. changing owner another example of a blank right page: index "CTL;(not) wrapping words" pb -> ab: I debugged my ui code and could not find any problems. The URL for the index "CTL;(not) wrapping words" reads as follows: vnd.sun.star.help://swriter/text%2Fshared%2F01%2Fformatting_mark.xhp?Language=en-US&System=WIN#bm_id9930722 The API call loadFromURL() loads this URL without any errors but the help page is empty. So perhaps xmlhelp has a problem? So please take over. Thx. I could not find an obvious reason either so far. STARTED As this seems to be a problem with a single help page I think this issue isn't such urgent -> OOo 3.x *** Issue 99404 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** *** Issue 104839 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** The blank Index tab page was not reported again, but this issue (wrongly continued by me, I apologize), is now about the blank Help page at the right of the Help Viewer. It is empty at several Help pages. xhp source files look normal, however. -> OOo 3.x Testing an DEV300m60 version on Ubuntu, I find that the help index "ctl;(not) wrapping words" is a dead link. No change of the Help page at the right. Visual inspection of file helpcontent2/source/text/shared/01/formatting_mark.xhp now shows an empty filename tag <filename/> same empty filename tag in two other files: helpcontent2/source/text/shared/optionen/improvement.xhp and helpcontent2/source/text/shared/guide/startcenter.xhp all three files were created as new, using the helpauthoring.oxt macros. The macros are buggy. Changed that in CWS hcshared24. Following a new CWS build, the three blank Help pages seem to be fixed now. As the other issue, a blank Index list in Help Viewer, was not reported again since Feb 2008, the whole issue can be set to fixed. No translation relevant changes, only meta data in xhp file headers got fixed. Submitted to svn - 277022 setting target verified to be fixed in CWS tl75, unxlngi6.pro version Startcenter, Improvement program, and Insert-Formatting Mark now have extended help. For Startcenter after pressing F1 key the very first time the Writer home page is shown. After a doc was opened and closed, the right Startcenter page is shown at F1 key.
