The difference between vertical body text and vertical Fontwork text none

Description bluedwarf 2008-03-06 08:34:45 UTC
Changing the direction of Fontwork text from top to bottom and rotating it 90
degrees clockwise create vertical Fontwork text, but some symbols created in
this way are displayed incorrectly.

When you change the direction of Fontwork text, all characters rotate 90 degrees
respectively. However, some symbols like parenthesis should not rotate due to
the special purpose of them. I think this is the problem of Fontwork rendering
because vertical body text of Writer is shown correctly. I will attach the image
that shows the difference of rendering vertical text.

This problem also causes the incompatibility with WordArt provided by Microsoft
Word. When you open a Word document which includes vertical WordArt,
OpenOffice.org Writer shows a different result.

Same as in Drawing & Presentation, reassigned to this component.

Set to new and change the target.
Comment 4 christian.guenther 2008-03-12 13:45:43 UTC
I can reproduce the bug in src680m247.
Compare the parentheses of a 'normal' vertical text and a vertical fontwork.
