Calc example: default settings for my gnome session are: English (UK) I create a new spreadsheet, select all cells, right click and select "Format cells..." on the very first tab I select Language: Polish. now I type polish word into the cell... and it's underlined, because spell checker surprisingly assumes, it's written in English (UK). Very intuitive. I think, the best would be solution similar to "Set language" from Abiword: simple list with languages to choose from and checkbox "make this language default for this document". Or something similar. Thanks, Marek Tools - Language - For Selection - More... should bring list of languages to select from and not Character dialog window. BTW, the menus of Tools - Language are also available in the status bar. This would save the user another dialog which need to be closed. > > BTW, the menus of Tools - Language are also available in the status bar.
