Description joerg.skottke 2008-03-26 08:31:56 UTC
Reproduction:
* First office start as normal user on Linux
- Complete the first time wizard
- From the backing window open the Extension Manager
- Click "Add..."
-> There is an errormessage stating that the workdirectory does not exist.

This is true, as ~/.staroffice9/user/work has not been created

Two possible solutions:
1) Make sure the directory exists
2) Use a default directory that exists for sure

Just a note on the work directory:

Using ~/.staroffice9/user/work is probably not a good idea. As the directory is
hidden from the user is extremely unlikely that an extension - which is about to
be installed - is ever found there.

Usually extensions are downloaded and - at least on Linux - end up either in the
users home directory or in a dedicated "Downloads" directory.

However, this is more a general problem of our application than of the extension
manager. But we should consider using the users home directory directly. It is
pretty much guaranteed that it exists (otherwise our installtion most likely
fails completely).

I'm going to look into this a little more thoroughly, maybe we should consider
this for 3.1. Back to me.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
