The method getCharacterBounds() returns values of which are outside the component.
To reproduce this behavior just start your office with parameter

"-accept=socket,host=0,port=8100;urp;" 

and call inside a solar shell:

checkapi -o
toolkit.AccessibleFixedText::com::sun::star::accessibility::XAccessibleText

currently tested only on Linux.
