reassigning features and enhancements to user requirements@openoffice.org which will be the default owner for those tasks (was introduced some time ago) Very useful when comparing documents. Also useful to see at the same time two sheets in same Calc document. jrowell: Each spreadsheet document has its own window. Use the features of your OS to show the windows tiled or side-by-side. rvboni: Use menu Window > New Window to get a second window of the same document. You can select the active sheet independently for this windows. I see no issue here. (In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #4) > jrowell: Each spreadsheet document has its own window. Use the features of > your OS to show the windows tiled or side-by-side. This will be applied by OS to all windows, including non AOO windows. It is desired to arrange specific windows only. > rvboni: Use menu Window > New Window to get a second window of the same > document. You can select the active sheet independently for this windows. Different windows of the same document may be a confusing solution to some people. > I see no issue here. In this case, the interest for tiling or spliting the main window is to gain some place on the desktop (non need to repeat the menu bars and so along). > I see no issue here. You are right, it's not an issue but an improvment. The setting whether a window is shown maximized or not, is independent of the setting for other windows, not only between AOO and other applications, but also between documents in AOO, even between two text documents. Test it. You can switch the documents in the menu "Window". And even the operating system feature to overlap or show side-by-side is only applied to one group of open windows, not to other application windows in another group, at least not in Windows. In Windows it is Shift-Click on a group in the task bar to get that feature. rvboni: Having only one application window for all documents, is already covered by bug 12686. *** Issue 108000 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** |
