1. save document as MS word (or use existing MS word doc)
2. open doc
3. apply some changes in text formatting (bold->norma, normal->bold,...)
4. save doc (as MS word)
5. close doc
6. open doc and see that last changes did not take effect (the doc remaind same 
as before change)

This is probably issue 3273, we have asian and western bolding values,
word has only one. Your asian settings are clobbers the western ones
on export. Workarounds and fix details in issue 3273

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
