Description jumbo444 2008-05-30 17:47:18 UTC
Hello,

To reproduce the bug :
- close all Calc applications
- create new text document
- Insert > Object > Chart
- Select an object in the chart (axis, series, grid,...)
- Format > Object properties
Line width is in inches instead of cm according to my settings (French, France).
Other units are OK (icon's width and height of a data series with lines and points).
- create a new Calc document
- go back to text document with embedded chart, and ask for properties of an object
=> Line width is correctly in cm.

Bug exists also in 2.4.0 and DEV300m14.
Conversion from inches to cm is correct.

I can confirm the problem of unit of line and border width both in 2.4.0 and
OOoDev300_m14 under Kubuntu 6.06 FR.
But not that the problem disappears after having created a new Calc document.

In my case line width is always in inches for charts inserted in Writer
documents but not for charts inserted in Calc.

My OS is WinXP
I checked again with OOo 2.4.0 with a new profile :
units of line go back to cm, only if Calc document is created after text
document. If Calc document already exists when text document is created, units
of line remain in inches. You need to create a new Calc document and go back to
text document to have unit in cm.

Come back with new tests. From a first point of view, bug may have appear with
Chart2.
- on Win98 with OOo 1.1.5 : no bug (unit is always in cm)
- on Mandriva 2008.0 with OOo 2.2.1.10110 : no bug
- on Win98 with OOo 2.3.0 : bug with same behavior as on my WinXP OOo 2.4.0 and
BEA300m2 (described in first message)
