OpenOffice.org 2.4 and 3.0 Beta on Ubuntu 8.04.

- Does this happen in OOo *native* (= no Ubunto build)?
- Does this happen only with VL Gothic?

Yes.  I tried with OOo2.4.1 and OOo3.0Beta.

No.  I tried other fonts and they disappeared too.
