While in Autocad MEP 2009: While using excel, you can paste an OLE into a 
drawing.
The option to paste an OLE is not avaible while using a xls file opened in open 
office.
Apparently Autocad doesn't recognice the paste as being an excel sheet.

reassigning features and enhancements to user requirements@openoffice.org which
will be the default owner for those tasks (was introduced some time ago)
