Description heidelberger 2008-07-03 14:19:18 UTC
Reproducible as:
1. Copy text from document A
2. Paste special as DDE link into document B
3. select text covering the section of DDE link

-> not possible to delete DDE link/section this way

using "openoffice.org-core 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu1"

Of course not - the section created by the DDE link insertion is write-protected.
You can remove the protection and/or delete the full section in Format.Sections
dialog.

Closing.
Comment 3 heidelberger 2008-07-03 18:06:51 UTC
I disagree (partially) from a usability point of view:

1. yes, the _content_ of the section created by the DDE link insertion should be
write-protected

2. but: the link is in a document which is not write protected -> so the
link/section should be deletable (without touching the original content of the
section, of course)
Comment 4 michael.ruess 2008-07-04 11:12:17 UTC
Currently all protected section cannot be deleted in any way directly. Only via
Format.Sections dialog. IMO, this is ok.
passed on to UX for decision.
