Reassigned to ES. @AMA: to complete the description... The document must look like this: <heading1>text</heading1> <toc>toc</toc> <- no pragraph after toc Only then the TOC shows its context menu when the whole doc content is selected Due to our workload and resources (development as well as QA) I've to retarget this issue to OOo3.2. - I can reproduce the bug under - Ubuntu 8.10 with OOo2.4.1 and OOO300m15(Build:9397) - Windows Vista with OOO300m15(Build:9397) - For Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3 it simply hangs there. - Here are the steps I followed - Start OpenOffice - Start a new text document - Type anything - Press F11 --> a pop-up menu for "Styles and Formatting" would appear. - Choose any formatting options, i.e. Heading 1, by double clicking on it. - Close the pop-up menu - Click on 'insert' from the menu bar. - Press 'x' or choose 'Indexes and Tables' from the drop down menu - Press 'i' or choose 'Insert Indexs /Tables' from the cascading menu --> A pop-up menu for "Insert Index/Table" will appear - uncheck the box for "Protected against manual changes" - Click on ok. - Press Crtl-A to select everything - Right click on the selection and choose 'Edit Index/Table' from the drop down menu --> A pop-up menu for "Insert Index/Table" will appear - Click on OK. - Writer will either crash or hang at this point. - Work-Around - to work-around this bug, simply type something after the Table of Content and then try to edit the TOC. We can then delete this text. Obviously We need to type something after the Table Of Content. - or simply remove any text before the TOC. Then edit the TOC. After then we can add any text needed before the TOC. - I tested these two cases and they worked ok with me. Regards, Rafiq |
